Christina is an Assistant Director and Senior International Student Advisor in Cranwell International Center. She previously served as the SEVIS Compliance Coordinator and Senior Immigration Advisor for the Graduate School here at Virginia Tech. She brings to the university a breadth of experience in student services and compliance with non-resident alien tax and immigration federal regulations, having worked at two other large public institutions (Missouri State University and George Mason University) and in the federal government for a federally-run Exchange Visitor Program since 1990. Additionally, in every job since 1990 she has worked with special software/middleware packages. She has played a key role in the implementation of Windstar International Tax Navigator and the online Foreign National Information System at Missouri State University; the roll-out of Windstar Foreign National Tax Information System while working at George Mason University; and has been instrumental in the implementation of Sunapsis Immigration Batch software here at Virginia Tech. Christina graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Music Performance and has coursework towards an MBA. She is a long-term member of NAFSA, the national Association for International Educators.
